Wine Rocks is returning to Pier 66 on July 11th. Over 30 wineries will be pouring, as well as some distilleries and breweries. Brandon had a wonderful time at last year’s events, looking over Puget Sound as we sipped tried and true favorites and discovered new wines to love. The bands are hand-picked – musicians who are also winemakers! Pretty cool idea! It’s great to get outside and dance in the sunshine while you sip a variety of wines…and the views from the venue are gorgeous!
This event is also a great cause – this event benefits Food Lifeline, who is dedicated to helping with the hunger issues in our state. SUCH a great org!
Tickets historically have sold out for this party, so snag yours now.
Throughout the evening select Washington winemakers and friends will take the stage to share their passion for music. This year’s featured winemakers/musicians include:
- Jamie Brown (Walla Walla Valley Winemaker)
- Darren Des Voigne (Des Voigne Cellars)
- Chip McLaughlin (Vinyl Wines)
- Rob Newsom (Boudreaux Cellars)
- Victor Palencia (Jones of Washington)
- Gordy Rawson (Chatter Creek Winery)

Sipping wine, listening to bands, and spending time on the pier with a beautiful view sounds wonderful. What a great idea for an event. I would love to try the wine by vinyl. For a purveyor to say his passions are wine and music it’d be interesting to see how the wine tastes. When a person wants to reinvent wine it makes me want to try the outcome of the efforts.
