The wonderfully weird Moisture Festival returns today through April 13!

One of my favorite festivals, the wacky, weird, and wonderfully entertaining Moisture Festival is back!
Tonight is Opening Night of the Festival and performances run through April 13, so you have no excuse to miss this fantastic comedy/variete festival. Each variete show is a little different and features 8-10 performers. Some performers are featured in many shows, while some only perform one or two nights. These are amazing acts that will make you laugh or make your jaw drop.
New this year: Moisture festival is collaborating with Nordo’s Culinarium. Enjoy french cuisine and wild cabaret acts March 18 – 20. Other venues include Hale’s Palladium (love the old-timey feel of this venue, perfect for this festival), Broadway Performance Hall, and the beautiful Teatro Zinzanni. Burlesque performances are also part of the festival, as are late-night variate performances, which have a bit more adult sass.

Performers I’m most excited to see when I attend include clowns Aga-Boom, Armitage Shanks, The Peculiars, and Wang Hong. Ultimately, this festival always surprises and delight me with amazing and wonderfully unique acts, again and again. Make it a date night (you’ll certainly have lots to talk about at intermission and after the show!) or a night out with a big group of friends.
Will YOU be going to Moisture Festival? Who are you most excited to see perform this year?

More about Moisture Festival:
Moisture Festival presents a high energy comedy/varietè show featuring a rapid succession of acts showcasing comedy alongside awe-inspiring physical and mental dexterity, with poignant moments of strength and delicate beauty to make audiences laugh, wonder, shake their heads in disbelief and truly appreciate how live entertainment can exhilarate and bring real joy. A live show band propels each performance. Varietè has its roots in the Music Halls of 19th century England, cabaret in Europe and vaudeville in America. Because of the talented artists currently working in this genre, it is still fresh, exciting and tremendous fun for the audience.
