What’s that? You say it’s been too long since I hosted a giveaway? I agree, friend. Here’s your chance to enter to win a prize that will add more laughter to your life in the coming weeks. We all need that!
Today, I’m giving away an All-Access Pass to the online “Coast to Coast Roast” presented by Helium Comedy Club. I’ll pick the winner tonight!
Helium Comedy Club has partnered with 24 cities and 48 local comedians to bring more laughter to folks – watch from the comfort of your own home The roast began May 7 and continues until May 22. You can purchase tickets for an individual roast or get an All-Access Pass to see all of the shows.
The roast will be hosted by Joe List (Season 2 of Netflix’s The Stand Ups) and Mark Normand (Inside Amy Schumer).
As you can see from the vast wine list of Washington wines that will be poured, this wine event is all about approachable wines (most are around $20, some in the $10-$15 range). What I love about this is we taste wines all night that we later will realistically purchase after the event. These wines are perfect for a cosy night in or to bring to a house party or dinner gathering.
Some wines I’m especially excited to sip: 14 Hands, Castillo de Feliciana, Dusted Valley, Finnriver Farm & Cidery, L’Ecole No. 41, and OS Winery. The joy of this event is every year I’m introduced to new wines I normally wouldn’t have known about.
Instead of booth after booth, 20something invites wine makers to walk around the party and share their vino with mingling guests. You get to connect directly with wine makers and sommeliers while sharing the experience with friends, rather than waiting in line to taste and then move on to the next booth.
While the DJ spins, you also get a chance to try some amazing bites from trendy restaurants. The venue itself is beautiful as well!
NOTE: This contest has closed. Congrats to our winner, Juli C!

A very unique musical, Saving Aimee, performs at The 5th Avenue Theatre September 30th – October 29th and here is your chance to win a four-pack of tickets to see this show.
A local 5th Avenue Theatre production ( Broadway caliber meets Seattle talent), this show is going to look and sound like a million bucks. With a longer preview run than most shows, this production is likely to see many changes: all the more reason to see it near the beginning and end of the run to witness the differences. If you’ve never seen a 5th Avenue show that allows for changes during the run, you’re in for a treat. The artistic team welcomes audience reviews and suggestions – it’s facinating to watch what happens to a show as the weeks go by.
Carolee Carmello takes the title lead, giving what’s said to be a spectacular performance as the story tells the tale of her “spectacular fall from grace” in a real life story about the first media superstar evangelist.
Ed Watts (5th Avenue’s 7 Brides) is back and gorgeous in ever (in person and in voice. I’m excited to see the talented Judy Kaye live on stage and one of my personal favorite performers, Billie Wildrick. Chuck Leggett makes his 5th Avenue debut.
