Beautiful—The Carole King Musical now through Sunday, October 30
I brought my mom to this show and we loved it! Carole King’s real life story is a simple but sweet tale of an incredibly talented songwriter’s career that started at a young age. So many fun moments in the show and the audience was so uplifted at intermission and after the curtain call. I haven’t enjoyed a new-to-me musical this much in many years! There were so many 60s songs I know and love that I had no idea King wrote (“One Fine Day,” “Locomotion” and so many more). The leads are incredibly talented singers and actors. Still humming songs from the show days later. Learn more about the show here (There are performances now through October 30).

Cotton Gin October 28 through Nov 12
Love puppets? Love improv? For six shows only, the two come together in “Cotton Gin,” directed by my favorite puppet maker, Elizabeth Westermann. Adults only.
