Hey friends! There’s so much happening in Seattle this upcoming weekend. Here are a few things that caught my eye:
First up, talented (and charming!) local artist Brooke Borcherding is hosting her 4th Annual Studio Show in Wallingford this weekend: August 25 -27 10 am – 6 pm. You may have seen her works at galleries around town or at the 2023 Seattle Art Fair.

Fun Fact: Brooke Borcherding was listed as one of THE “10 things you should see at the Seattle Art Fair” by The Stranger’s 2023 EverOut arts guide!

On Saturday, August 26 from Noon – 6 pm, swing by Pier 62 for the Unkitawa Waterfront Indigenous Celebration.

Sunday, August 27, you’ll be able to swing by Seattle’s LGBTQ Center for their Queer Summer Market that centers and uplifts QTBIPOC (Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) vendors. (You could walk from the Queer Summer Market to the Sunday Capitol Hill Farmers Market and pop into “Black Arts Love” – a fantastic new shop on the hill.)

A big shout out to the Seattle Parks and Recreation folks who have made it possible for us all to have such an incredible time dancing and listening to music in our parks all Summer. I’ve been hitting up Volunteer Park and Gas Works Park the most. On Saturday, August 26 from 4 pm – 10 pm, Radio Apocalypse presents “Groovin’ Gas Works.”
Regardless of what you do this weekend, I wish you one filled with many moments of ease and laughter.
Sending you love!
(If you have an event you’d like me to consider sharing on this blog, reach out. I’m always happy to have more events on my radar.)
