White rabbits, tea parties and delicious treats are in your future. No, it’s not Easter…it’s “Through the Looking Glass: The Burlesque Alice in Wonderland,” back for another run at The Triple Door in downtown Seattle April 16 – 19!
Produced by Lily Verlaine and Jasper McCann (those charmers who bring us The Burlesque Nutcracker during the holidays), Alice is simply one the best Seattle burlesque shows of all time. This original production plays upon the “looking glass” theme of the Alice story by featuring not one but TWO burlesque performers in the role of Alice. As magical as the world of Wonderland – Lewis Carroll himself would be absolutely delighted by this production!
The 2014 production boasts some new casting from previous years. Holly Pop and Mimi Me (both delightful!) take on the role of Alice. Inga Ingénue steps out of the role of Alice and into the role of The Queen of Hearts! Tory Tiara and Ray Gunn (current reigning King of Boylesque) also join the cast.
If you haven’t seen this production before and are a fan of the Alice story or burlesque, you’d be mad as a hatter to miss it. If you’ve already seen it, my guess is you already have your tickets to go back again. This show tends to sell out early, so get your tickets soon.
