Review by Laura Fixler Mellinger:
Land of the Sweets: The Burlesque Nutcracker is well worth the price of admission! Great production value, beautiful sets and costumes, and so much talent. The first act delivered on Nutcracker classics with a twist. Our host, Charles Drosselmingus, accompanied by the sweet, salty ,and nutty Snowflakes, kept the show singing between acts. Each act was beautifully choreographed and kept the audience captivated.
The second act begins with a bang and the energy continued all the way to the finale. There was so much variety- from tap, to ballet, to aerials, it offered something for every burlesque enthusiast or newcomer. You are sure to have a fun and elegant evening at the Triple Door. I highly recommend staying late or coming early to have a drink at the Musicqarium. Plan on having dinner or at least on enjoying the fall cider sangria and cheesecakes while enjoying this fabulous show.
Land of the Sweets: The Burlesque Nutcracker plays The Triple Door now through December 29. Tickets available here.
