I’m a new transplant from the Midwest and everyday has been filled with breathtaking beauty and an almost overhwhelming amounts of sights, sounds, activities, restaurants, people to meet, mountains to climb…my calendar has been filling up fast! I think my favorite new summertime activity is going to the San Juan Islands…I went to Orcas a few weekends back and it was splendid. I’d like to make it an annual trip.

I usually wore shorts and flip flops starting in March so it felt like summer would never get here! But it’s amazing and so beautiful here! So far, one of my favorite activities is enjoying fish and chips wrapped in paper while looking at the water at Alki Beach. I feel “so Seattle” doing that.

And that’s just in Western Washington!!!! What a state!

No better way to spend a day with friends.

Sunny Tuesdays out at Duck Dodge, a crazy and silly sailing race where most weeks have a theme like “Prom Night”, “Tropical Night”, “Pajama Night” and all kinds of fun. It’s been going on for almost 30 years and I’ve been out there on and off for 15!
