I love reading books on my ipad or iphone, using the kindle app. Although I do choose to read physical books from time to time (I chose to buy The Alchemist in paperback, as I had a feeling I would want to loan that one out to many friends), it really is nice having your book with you anytime you have your phone. Another benefit is the backlighting – no frustrated boyfriend when you accidentally shine a booklight in his eyes while he’s trying to fall asleep.
I was pleased to see that Kindle offers 100 books for $3.99 or less, every month. This month’s titles include works by Kurt Vonnegut, Jon Krakauer, W.E.B. Du Bois, and, of course, many authors we’ve never heard of.
I recently finished reading The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern (which was AMAZING – definitely a book I’ll be rereading again in a year or two). Currently reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Up next: The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo.
What books have you loved (Kindle or physical books), lately?
Alchamest is a great read. Just started the Girl with a Dragon Tattoo. Heard it was good.

Thanks Christine – I am looking forward to it! I saw the Danish movie by filmmaker Niels Arden Oplev, but have to yet read the books or see the american version. Not sure if I’ll be able to read the books now that I’ve seen the movie. Usually, I do prefer the book version to the movie version.
