They are just some of the 35+ restaurants that will be serving up delicious bites at the Seattle Weekly’s 8th annual Voracious Tasting & Awards.

My stomach is already growling, thinking about one of my favorite food events of the year. Mark your calendar for October 6 and get your tickets now, because this event is as popular as it is tasty.

For drinks, I’m excited to try Heritage Distillery’s brown sugar bourbon and wine from Beresan Winery and Wildridge Winery. There will be craft cocktails, wine, and beer poured, but the star of this show is the food. The event is presented by the Washington State Beef Commission, so be sure to bring your carnivore friends. Love to take food photos? I’m particularly fond of the fact that this year’s event benefits the Pike Place Market Foundation, which supports housing and services for low-income Seattleites. They feed the hungry, care for the sick, educate kids, and find homes for those without. But of course they can’t do it without our support and this is one way to support them, while treating yourself and a friend or date to a huge foodtastic event. This is the same organization that I raised money for in past years as part of the Carole Brunettes during their Figgy Pudding Caroling Competition. Love the work they do!
