An incredibly charming based-on-a-true story musical is coming back to Seattle. For two nights (three performances) only, “Beautiful – The Carole King Musical” will play at The Paramount Theatre in downtown Seattle April 8 & 9, 2022.

When I saw this musical live in 2016, I was blown away by how many songs I knew that Carole King wrote in her career – songs often sung by other artists and bands. As the show description shares, “along the way, she made more than beautiful music, she wrote the soundtrack to a generation.” There’s more than one reason the soundtrack won the 2015 Grammy Award for “Best Musical Theatre Album.”

Fun fact: this national tour of “Beautiful – The Carole King Musical” includes cast member Rachel Coloff as Genie Klein, a Pacific Northwest actor from Puyallup, Washington:
